The Hague was awesome. Great to catch up with folks I haven’t seen in a while, to put faces to names, and to meet new people. We had some laughs. We talked shop. Everyone seemed really up for the big 3-oh. There was a definite sense of purpose around the place.
GUADEC was also a great chance to make some decisions about a couple of things that are happening in the Usability Project at the moment. I’ll be updating everybody about those soon.
The week contained many highlights for me, but the one that really stood out was Jon McCann’s GNOME Shell design talk. Inspiring stuff. Can we? Yes. Shall we…?
Many thanks to the local organisers and the Foundation for all the effort that went into organising the conference. I can scarcely imagine how much work was involved.
